Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 vs Samsung Galaxy J7: comparison of 4G phablets
Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has launched a handful of devices in India over the past couple of years. Now the company is all set to launch its latest Redmi Note series smartphone in the country dubbed the Redmi Note 3. The brand first unveiled the Redmi Note 3 in China in November last year with a MediaTekHelio X10 processor. Recently, it introduced the Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor-powered edition of the Redmi Note 3 in China. The brand is expected to launch the Snapdragon-powered edition of the Redmi Note 3 in India, since it is not allowed to sell MediaTek CPU-powered devices in the country.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 vs Samsung Galaxy J7: features compared
In terms of design, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 sports an appealing, premium and durable metal unibody design, and sports a fingerprint sensor located at the back below the camera to offer enhanced security of user data. The phone measures 8.65mm around the waist, and tips the scale at 164 grams. The Samsung Galaxy J7 on the other hand comes with a less-premium polycarbonate body. The Samsung Galaxy J7 on the other hand is fuelled by a less powerful 1.5GHz octa-core Exynos 7580 processor, coupled with 1.5GB of RAM. It comes with 16GB of internal memory, which can be further increased by inserting a microSD card. Since the Redmi Note 2 is being offered in two configurations, it will be easy for users to choose the best model they want according to their needs.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 a 16-megapixel primary snapper with an LED flash, and 5-megapixel secondary shooter. The Galaxy J7 on the other hand comes with a 13-megapixel rear snapper aided by an LED flash, and a 5-megapixel selfie snapper. They both offer full HD video recording, autofocus, HDR, Panorama etc. But when it comes to the overall photography experience, the Redmi Note 3 sports much better specifications. The 16-megs rear snapper on the Redmi Note 3 will surely impress the shutterbugs.

In terms of connectivity, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Note and Samsung Galaxy J7, both the smartphones offer similar specifications including 4G LTE support, dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. As far as the battery is concerned, the Redmi Note 3 utilises a huge 4,050mAh battery that supports Quick Charge 2.0 technology. The Galaxy J7 on the other hand is fuelled by a 3,000mAh battery. The Samsung Galaxy J7 is one of the best offerings from the brand till date in the sub-Rs 15,000 range. The phone offers a large display, a powerful processor, decent internal storage and camera specs, and a decent battery. The phone has been officially priced at Rs 14,999. The Redmi Note 3 on the other hand offers a more premium design, a full HD screen resolution, a fingerprint sensor for enhanced security, and a much higher battery life. The device is expected to be priced below Rs 11,000 in the country when it lands here. Overall, the Redmi Note 3 appears to be a better offering than the Galaxy J7, as far as the company decides to price it competitively when it lands here in a few days.
